Like all good ideas, ICON was conceived after years of sitting around a table late at night talking about what we would do if we were in charge. With each of ICON's 3 directors working in large scale commercial construction in the UK for a decade, we were confident that given the chance we could do better. After starting families, and deciding that there was no better place in the world for our children to grow up than back in Dunedin, we all packed up and moved home. Then in 2017, an opportunity arose to put “our money where our mouth is” and Interior Construction Limited was formed.

 

With the support of Dunedin's leading construction companies,

in just 2 short years ICON grew from a business in which the directors were on the tools trying to make a name for themselves, to a business with over 25 full-time employees and many long term contractors. With years of capital investment projects lined up throughout Southland and Otago, the future looks bright.

 

Having undertaken all roles in the construction sector, from installing insulation to studying contract documents, we know the support our people need to complete their work. ICON believes that hiring the right people and giving them that support benefits not only the team but the company and the clients as a collective.
